In doing so, the Department fulfills its social mission by drawing on the experience of past generations and contributing to future ones, which will benefit from the outcomes of its work. This approach aligns with the mission of the Cracow University of Economics: <em>\u201cRerum cognoscere causas et valorem\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vision of the Department<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department will become a modern organizational unit of the Cracow University of Economics, serving educational, research, advisory, and opinion-forming functions, actively engaged in academic, teaching, and practical forums at local, national, and international levels. It will be a welcoming environment for faculty, doctoral candidates, seminar participants, and students, enabling them to pursue their aspirations and remain open to changes occurring in its surrounding context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Activities of the Department<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Financial Accounting was established in 1996. It currently forms part of the Institute of Finance within the College of Economics, Finance, and Law at the Cracow University of Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the research activities of its faculty and the courses offered across numerous study programs determine its position in the academic landscape not only in Krak\u00f3w but throughout Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department\u2019s research focuses on issues related to financial reporting, analysis, and auditing, both in the context of Polish and international solutions. These studies are complemented by the latest developments presented by recognized international organizations, in which the Department\u2019s members actively participate and share their scientific achievements (International Association for Accounting Education and Research \u2013 IAAER, European Accounting Association \u2013 EAA, Integrated Reporting Academic Research Support Group). Equally important are the roles they play in the Association of Accountants in Poland and the National Chamber of Statutory Auditors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Financial Accounting continuously expands its educational profile in line with labor market requirements and trends. Its faculty deliver courses (lectures, tutorials, computer labs) within full-time, part-time, doctoral, and postgraduate programs \u2013 including ACCA and CIMA. It is worth emphasizing that their teaching combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications derived from professional experience.
