Jan Czekaj, Full Professor

He works as a full professor and until 2020 he was the Head of the Department of Financial Markets at the Cracow University of Economics. His published works include 16 books and over 80 scientific articles, and as a reviewer and member of editorial boards he participated in many scientific journals, including Polish Journal of Economic Psychology. His research focuses on the links and interdependencies between macroeconomics, monetary policy and financial markets. He also has extensive professional experience gained in high positions in a number of financial institutions and public administration. He was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Privatization (1994-1996), member of the Supervisory Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (1994-1995), Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance (2002-2003), member of the Council of the Political Council (2003-2010). For his scientific achievements and public activity, he was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
